The story of Michelsen Watchmakers goes back a whole century, to 1909, when the first of the Michelsen watchmakers established a small business in Iceland under the Michelsen name. The firm has ever since been owned and operated by the same family and is now owned by 3rd generation Michelsen master watchmaker.
The Michelsen watchmakers’ shop on Laugavegur, the main shopping street in Reykjavik, offers a wide assortment of watches and jewellery, including many internationally known brands. First and foremost among these are the world famous Rolex watches. Among other interesting watches that might be mentioned are Movado, Zeno Watch, Auguste Reymond, Swiss Military and the famous Danish brands Georg Jensen and Rosendahl.
